Need to source spare parts for a vehicle repair?

Our superb BreakerBid4U service could be the solution you're looking for!

BreakerBid4U provides used and salvage buyers with the opportunity to bid on great-value CAT B breakers, without the need to obtain expensive licences and adhere to the other requirements.

If you win, you could save time and money by sourcing multiple parts in one go. And you get to pull them directly from the vehicle yourself.

How does it work?

Once you’ve searched through our wide variety of CAT B stock and found the vehicle that you want to break parts from, you need to:

  1. Submit your bid via our BreakerBid4U form before 10am on the day of the auction, and our dedicated team will place a preliminary bid on your behalf.
  2. If your bid wins, we’ll contact you to arrange a full-day breaking session* at one of our 6 breaking facilities.
  3. On the date scheduled, you’ll attend your breaking session where you’ll be able to strip the vehicle of all bolted parts. If you would like the engine and gearbox, our team will be on hand to pull these from the vehicle, and help you to load them onto your vehicle at the end of your session.

We will crush and dispose of the vehicle chassis after your session.

*As a result of COVID-19, we have taken several steps to ensure that our breaking sessions follow government guidelines – ensuring your safety, and that of our staff.

Popular Questions

Do I need to be a Copart Member to use BreakerBid4U?

No, you do not need to be a Member to use the service. As a Non-Member, you will be required to submit one form of photo ID and pay a £250 deposit before submitting your bid.  You will be charged £200 for breaking session, instead of the Member discounted price.

How will my bid be placed?

Use our form to enter your Maximum Bid amount – this is the maximum amount that you wish to bid on a vehicle at auction and excludes fees.

This will be used to submit a preliminary bid on this Lot, prior to the vehicle auction and gives you an early chance of securing the Lot.

Our Bid4U technology will then bid on your behalf in the main auction, using increments. Your maximum bid amount will not be used as a starting bid. If the auction does not reach your maximum bid amount, you will win the vehicle for less.  Unless the seller has placed a reserve, in which case your maximum bid is offered.

Can I break all CAT B vehicles with BreakerBid4U?

Our service can be used to break cars, motorcycles and small vans.

Due to breaker bay restrictions, the service cannot be used to purchase electric vehicles, HGV’s, caravans, agricultural, plant items and other large vehicles.

If you wish to bid on a large vehicle that’s not been listed, please contact the BreakerBid4U team who will confirm it’s availability and inform you of any additional transportation costs.

Can I break a BreakerBid4U vehicle at any facility?

No, these can only be broken at one of our dedicated breaker facilities. These are based in Sandwich, Chester, Rochford, Wolverhampton, York or Inverkeithing (Scotland).

If you would like to bid on a vehicle not stored in one of these locations, we can provide transport for you at an additional cost.

What can I expect out of a BreakerBid4U breaking session?

Before your arrival, we prepare and depollute the vehicle ready for your visit. You will then have an 8-hour window between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM where you can strip the vehicle of parts.

With the help of BreakerBid4U team member and breaking expert Elliott Lambeth, we’ve put together some top tips to ensure you get the most out of your BreakerBid4U breaking session.
