Was there once an iconic classic vehicle you dreamed of owning that was discontinued? Or perhaps a modern sports car thats price tag was a little too high?
We know how soul destroying it can be when this happens, but don’t worry, there is another option for you in the form of a replica…
What’s a replica?
Replica cars are copies of desired vehicles and are designed to resemble the original as closely as possible, particularly in appearance. They are also known as kit or component cars and come in parts or as a complete vehicle offering almost everything that the original can, but for just a fraction of the cost.
Cobra 427
One of the most popular cars to be replicated over the last century is the legendary Shelby Cobra, also known as the AC Cobra.
Only 323 original coil-sprung 427 Cobras were ever produced between 1961 and 1968 meaning that getting your hands on one of these vehicles became increasingly tough.
Whilst it was popular during its original production, it was the onslaught of clones, kits and look-alikes that turned this rare performance car into an overexposed American pop culture icon.
Realm Engineering, a UK company built one of the UK’s best-known Cobra Replicas, known as the ‘RAM Cobra’, which is the only Cobra Replica worldwide to have been granted Carroll Shelby’s personal approval.
Copart UK are lucky enough to be selling one of the stunning RAM 427 Cobra’s at our Sandwich facility on Thursday 27th July.
