About the Ferrari 488
The Ferrari 488 was the coveted replacement to the Ferrari 458, sitting towards the top end of the Italian Supercar Manufacturer’s range. They have now ceased production and have been succeeded by the F8 Tributo, but that’s not to say that the 488 is not one of the most admirable and fashionable supercars around. Look at some pictures below.

Copart’s Sandy Operations Centre is currently in possession of a 2017 488 Spyder (CAT B), and we will be putting it under the hammer on Monday 23rd September 2019. This could be a great opportunity to get hold the parts for a real Italian Supercar for a great price.
What is a Category B Vehicle?
If a vehicle is classified as a Category B, it means that it has been damaged to such a degree that it is determined as non-repairable, and the chassis of the vehicle cannot go back on the road, however, all salvageable parts can be used in the repairs of other vehicles.
How do I buy Category B Vehicles?
There are two ways to buy Category Bs. The first is to become a certified CAT B buyer with Copart, where you must hold a selection of licences and certificates, find out more about this on our CAT B homepage.
Alternatively, you can use our BreakerBid4U service, this is where Copart can bid on your behalf, and then allow you to break the vehicle in one of six Copart Operations Centres that have a BB4U breaking facility. Although Sandy does not have a BreakerBid4U facility, Copart can deliver it to your chosen BB4U location. These locations are York, Wolverhampton, Inverkeithing, Rochford, Sandwich and Chester.
What can I take?
When using BreakerBid4U, you will be allowed to take away any non-structural part of the vehicle which can be removed by unbolting or unscrewing, as we do not allow cutting at our Operations Centres. To make the experience easier for you, the engine and gearbox will be removed upon your arrival, ready to be loaded onto your vehicle.
What do I do next?
If this opportunity is attractive to you, follow these simple steps to bid on and buy a Ferrari 488 through BreakerBid4U.
- Visit our BreakerBid4U homepage and find out all about our bidding process.
- Fill out the form on the BB4U homepage, quoting the Ferrari’s Lot No: #40215829.
- Wait for a member of the BreakerBid4U team to contact you.
Copart has many CAT B vehicles, most of which can be purchased through BreakerBid4U, click the button below to view all our Category B stock and find the perfect vehicle for you.
