BreakerBid4U is Copart’s dedicated CAT B buying service allowing buyers to source multiple car parts from a CAT B vehicle, perfect for the repair of another vehicle (such as a salvage car) or to sell on.
What are CAT B’s? Category B breakers are a type of salvage vehicle which cannot return to the road in their entirety. However, they can be purchased for a great price and dismantled for their salvageable parts.
Who can purchase CAT B vehicles? To purchase Category B vehicles, you will need to hold a set of licences and meet the requirements described on our buying CAT B’s page, both of which can be quite expensive. If you are not purchasing CAT B vehicles regularly, attaining these licences may not be the best decision for you, that’s where BreakerBid4U comes in….
How does BreakerBid4U work?
BreakerBid4U allows you to submit your bids on CAT B vehicles as and when you need them. We place the bid for you, and if you win, we’ll arrange for you to attend a breaking session at one of our specialist facilities. When you’ve taken the parts that you need, we’ll arrange for the vehicle to be crushed.

Expert Tips
Whether you’ve used the BreakerBid4U service before, or you’re thinking of using it for the first time, be sure to check out our expert tips below which could save you time and money:
➔ Make full use of the form – Save the need to complete multiple forms by using our expandable submission form to bid on up to five vehicles at one time.
➔ Set your maximum bid amount – By setting your absolute maximum bid amount, you could increase your chances of winning. Other bidders will not be able to see this amount and if the auction does not reach your maximum, you win the vehicle for less!
➔ Save on transport - Bid in auctions that have a breaker facility located there or nearby, these include Chester, Rochford, Wolverhampton Sandwich, York or Whitburn (near Inverkeithing). Not only could this speed up the availability of your breaking session, but it will also significantly reduce or eliminate the need to pay for transport.
➔ Make your visit worthwhile – If you’re travelling to one of our breaking facilities, why not bid on more than one vehicle and break them over a couple of days? In addition, buyers who decide to break two or more motorcycles with the service on the same day, will not pay the second breaking bay cost.
➔ Decide on what you need – Our service includes the removal of the engine and gearbox for you at no extra cost and is completed before the breaking session to save you time. These parts will be ready and waiting for you to take them away. Alternatively, if you do not want these parts, let the team know prior to booking your session and we might be able to offer you an earlier breaking date.
