At Copart UK, we’re committed to making vehicle buying as simple as possible, and when automotive enthusiast Cargirl Eliza gave our Virtual Vehicle Viewing service a try, we were thrilled to hear how much it helped her make a confident decision.

Eliza is well-known in the car community for taking on bold rebuilds and sharing them with her audience. When she spotted a vehicle with potential, but also some listed structural damage - she booked a Virtual Vehicle Viewing to get a clearer picture. What started as a curious look turned into a confident bid.

What Is a Virtual Vehicle Viewing?

This service gives Copart Members the chance to view a vehicle remotely, via video call with a Team Member. It’s a live, one-to-one walkthrough where you can ask to see specific details, get up-close views of damage, and ask any questions you like. It’s a great way to get peace of mind, especially when you’re not sure if a vehicle is right for you – and now all it takes is an easy, new online booking. All that’s needed is to choose a date and time that is convenient for you!

Eliza’s Viewing Experience

Eliza scheduled her viewing for late afternoon to fit around work, and was impressed by how simple the process was. “It was quite good to do it in the afternoon, so it was really good they were able to accommodate me.” she told us. “They asked what I wanted to focus on, and nothing I was asking was too much.”

During the call, the Team Member:

  • Walked around the entire vehicle, inside and out

  • Took the time to show under the car—lying down on wet ground to do it!

  • Highlighted a bent wheel she wanted a closer look at

  • Checked the interior features, including windows, seatbelts, and a panoramic roof

  • Even opened the oil cap to check for any gunk

“It was really friendly, it wasn’t like they were trying to hustle me to move on to the next person,” said Eliza. “It felt like they tried to make sure I had every bit of information I wanted.”

Making the Decision Easier

One of the key reasons Eliza booked the viewing was to understand where the structural damage was. The video call helped her figure out that it was likely related to a rear quarter panel - still classed as structural, but something she and her team could handle.

“I was on the fence. I didn’t really need a new car,” Eliza admitted, “but the viewing actually persuaded me to go for it.”

Eliza's damaged Audi A1

This isn’t Eliza’s first time buying through Copart. In fact, she previously took on a 2018 Audi S1 Competition from our auctions. A car with rear-end damage that she fully rebuilt with her partner, Joe. The project was a big success, and it's part of what keeps her coming back to browse for the next challenge.

That hands-on experience meant she already knew what to look for when booking her Virtual Viewing, and why getting a closer look really matters.

Would She Recommend It?

Without a doubt. “You get so much more information about the car [than you would from photos alone]. she said.

We’re delighted that Eliza found the service helpful, and we can’t wait to see what she does next with her new project. If you want to follow Eliza's journey as well, you can visit her Instagram channel here.
