Following the large BreakerBid4U (BB4U) expansion which took place in January of this year, we’ve continued seen our dedicated CAT B service going from strength to strength.
The expansion not only allowed us to increase our service offering to a varied new selection of customers, but it’s also given us the chance to evaluate and improve the service based on the needs of our growing customer base.
Taking our existing and new customers into consideration, we have decided to make the following change to the BreakerBid4U breaking process.
From May 2019, customers are now given the choice to have the engine and gearbox removed from their vehicle prior to the breaking session. This pre-breaking process is designed to save our customers time and allow them to focus their efforts on breaking other parts during the session.
Alternatively, if customers have no interest in taking the engine and gearbox away with them, they MUST notify the BB4U team when booking their breaking bay. These will remain present in the vehicle during the breaking session and will be retained with Copart along with the shell of the vehicle.
By telling us that you don’t want the engine and gearbox removed:
- You’ll save the BB4U team time and resource that can be deployed to preparing vehicles for customers who do want them
- Breaking sessions may be available sooner as the notice period and processing time required by our breaking facility staff will be reduced.
