Since its launch in early 2016, our BreakerBid4U service has grown from strength to strength. We’ve continually listened to our customers and improved the service accordingly. Further developments are planned towards the end of this year, so watch this space….
For those that don’t already know…
BreakerBid4U is our dedicated CAT B Buying service, the perfect complement for Members who purchase salvage vehicles directly in our auctions and need parts to repair them, without the hassle and expense of having to attain Category B licences.
Our breaker facilities are located in Copart Sandwich, York and Inverkeithing.
If you are an avid user of the service and want to get more out of it, or you’re new to BreakerBid4U and want to get off on the right foot, be sure to check out our top tips below:
Set up a “saved search”
This way you can keep track of the specific CAT B vehicles that you are searching for and at the specific breaking facility you would prefer to use.
Fully complete the bidding form
Be sure to fill in all the fields on the bidding form before you submit. Leaving information out could delay your bid being placed or not at all.
Place your maximum bid early
As we can only bid in the preliminary bidding phase, avoid the disappointment of not winning your vehicle. Complete the bidding form with your absolute maximum bid and we will register this for you. Other bidders will not be able to see this amount and if the auction does not reach your maximum, you win the vehicle for less!
Save on transport costs
Bid in auctions that have a breaker facility where you can i.e. Sandwich, York or Whitburn (near Inverkeithing). This will significantly reduce or eliminate the need to transport vehicles from facilities that do not offer a breaking service and save you money.
Save on petrol and drive time
If you do not want to travel too far to break your vehicle, bid only in auctions that are close to you and have a breaker facility nearby.
