2016 has been a fantastic year for Professional Darts Player and 2 x World Champion Adrian “Jackpot” Lewis.
After reaching the final of the World Darts Championship, the semi-finals of the Betway Premier League with an exceptional nine dart leg (the first in the competition for four years) and not to mention winning the Betway World Cup of Darts with Phil Taylor as part of Team England, it’s safe to say that 2016 has been a great year for Team Lewis.
Last month, Adrian played successfully in the Champions League of darts making it to the final day but just missing out on victory. This was a groundbreaking event for the Professional Darts Corporation as it was their first to be broadcast live on the BBC.
Adrian commented:
“I’m really pleased with how this year has rolled out, my 2016 highlights include being a PDC World Championship finalist, UK open qualifier winner and partnering with Phil Taylor to win the World Cup of Darts. Over the past year, I’ve moved up to number 3 in the World Rankings and I’m really looking forward to the chance to up my game in 2017 and win more major tournaments.”
So what’s next for Adrian?
The Unibet European Championship takes place later this month in Belgium, and the Ladbrokes World Series Finals and the Singha Beer Grand Slam take place in November.
